What is Bright Dental Plan?
Bright Dental Plan is NOT INSURANCE, but rather a licensed dental savings plan that’s offered through your local dental office. Unlike traditional dental insurance that's filled with red tape, Bright Dental Plan features no waiting periods, maximums, exclusions or claims process. In exchange for a low annual membership fee starting at only $109.00 per year, Bright Dental Plan members receive free exams and x-rays, plus 20-30% off all other services at a growing community of 15+ dental offices across North Carolina.
How much does membership cost?
Bright Dental Plan is very affordable and will almost always pay for itself in only one visit to the dentist.
Individual – $109.00 per year
Additional Member(s) – $30.00 per year (per person)
Bright Dental Plan auto-renews every 12 months unless you notify your participating dental office or membersy (plan administrator) that you would like to discontinue your membership. Members receive annual renewal notifications via direct mail, email and a courtesy phone call.
Which offices can I use my membership at?
Bright Dental Plan is accepted at a growing community of 15+ dental offices across North Carolina. A list of participating dental offices can be found online or by calling (877) 545-4188, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm CST.
How soon can I use my membership?
Since Bright Dental Plan has no waiting periods, exclusions or maximums, you can utilize your membership immediately after enrolling and as much as needed while you're a member. If you would like to use your membership prior to your member ID cards arriving in the mail (7-10 days), simply mention you’re a member when visiting your participating dental office and they will verify your eligibility real-time and apply the member-only discounts to your treatment plan.
How frequently can I use my membership?
Unlike traditional dental insurance plans that are filled with red tape, Bright Dental Plan has no maximums so you can use your membership as much as needed.
To maintain optimal oral health, the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends regular dental visits, at intervals determined by your dentist. The frequency of your regular dental visits should be tailored by your dentist to accommodate for your current oral health status and health history.
How long is my memberships term?
Bright Dental Plan features an annual membership term and will auto-renew at the end of its respective term unless you notify your participating dental office or membersy (program administrator) that you would like to discontinue your membership prior to your renewal date.
Can I add dependents to my membership?
Yes, you can add dependents to your membership anytime by logging into the online member portal or calling (877) 545-4188, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 6:00pm CST to speak with a dedicated member support specialist.
When will I receive my member ID card?
A digital copy of your member ID card is available within the online member portal. Once logged in, you can also view and print member terms and conditions.
To request physical versions in the mail, please call (877) 545-4188 to speak with a dedicated member support specialist.
Note: you do not need to present a membership card at your participating dental office. Simply notify the front desk that you are a member and they will verify your status in real-time.
